The Pakistan Navy has fulfilled the lifelong dream of 17-year-old Muhammad Ebaad Hussain from Rajanpur, who wished to become a naval officer despite living with congenital heart disease since birth.
Recognising his determination and admiration for the armed forces, the Navy granted him the honorary rank of Sub Lieutenant.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf approved the special honour, giving the teenager an opportunity to experience the profession he had always dreamed of pursuing.

As part of this memorable experience, Ebaad visited Pakistan Navy Ship Khaibar alongside his parents. During the visit, naval personnel introduced him to the vessel's capabilities and explained how officers and sailors perform their duties while serving at sea.
For the teenager, stepping aboard a naval ship was an opportunity to experience the world he had admired from afar. He expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Navy and described the experience as a memorable moment in his life. The visit gave Ebaad more than an honorary title.

Ebaad's story highlights how a simple act of kindness and recognition can create a lasting impact on someone's life. Although his heart condition presents challenges, his ambition and admiration for serving the country remain an important part of his identity.
The Pakistan Navy's gesture has also brought attention to the aspirations of young people living with serious medical conditions, reminding society that their dreams deserve encouragement, dignity and opportunities to experience meaningful moments.
Sometimes, fulfilling a dream does not require changing someone's circumstances.
