King Salman Launches Special Umrah Initiative for 1,000 Muslims Worldwide

Saudi Arabia has announced a special Umrah initiative under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program, enabling 1,000 Muslims from 66 countries to visit the Kingdom as honored guests.
The program was approved by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and aims to strengthen connections among Muslim communities worldwide.
The initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to facilitate religious journeys and provide opportunities for Muslims from diverse backgrounds to visit the holy sites. Through this program, selected participants will be able to perform Umrah.

The program will be implemented in four stages, with the first phase welcoming 250 pilgrims from 16 countries across Asia.
Participants will represent a diverse range of nations, including Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan, and several other countries from the region.
Saudi authorities noted that the phased approach has been designed to ensure smooth organization and provide participants with a meaningful and comfortable pilgrimage experience. The initiative seeks to bring together individuals from different cultures.

In addition to performing Umrah, selected guests will participate in a range of religious, educational, and cultural programs during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
These activities are intended to enrich their understanding of Islamic heritage and strengthen their spiritual connection with the holy sites.
The initiative will also create opportunities for participants to meet scholars, religious leaders, and community representatives from different countries. Such interactions are expected to encourage dialogue and knowledge-sharing.

Saudi officials have described the program as an important step toward promoting unity and understanding among Muslims across the globe.
By bringing together participants from dozens of countries, the initiative encourages stronger bonds based on shared faith and mutual respect.
The Kingdom has a long history of hosting guests through religious programs designed to facilitate visits to Islam’s holiest sites.
These efforts continue to support cultural exchange while reinforcing the values of cooperation and solidarity within the Muslim world.
