Punjab Introduces Paid Agriculture Internships for Fresh Graduates

Punjab is creating fresh career opportunities for graduates who are ready to apply their agricultural knowledge beyond the classroom. Through a newly announced internship initiative, the provincial government plans to connect young professionals with farming communities across the province.
The program is designed to strengthen agricultural services by placing qualified graduates where they can gain practical experience while supporting local farmers. It combines professional learning with meaningful fieldwork.
With 1,500 internship positions available, the initiative aims to develop a skilled workforce capable of contributing to the future of Pakistan's agriculture sector.

Participants selected for the program will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 70,000, allowing them to focus on developing their skills without the pressure of financial constraints.
The internship will run for one year, giving graduates the opportunity to work alongside agricultural experts, observe farming operations firsthand, and understand the practical challenges faced by growers across Punjab.
Rather than remaining limited to academic knowledge, interns will gain valuable workplace experience that can strengthen their future careers.

The opportunity is available to graduates who have completed a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture and are 27 years of age or younger by the application deadline. Applicants must also possess a valid Punjab domicile for their respective district.
The selection process welcomes applications from both men and women, while district-based allocations have been introduced to ensure balanced representation throughout the province.
Graduates who previously participated in similar government internship schemes will not be eligible
for this program.

Candidates interested in joining the internship can obtain the application form through the Punjab Agriculture Department's official website or by visiting the office of the Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) in their district.
Completed applications, along with the required supporting documents, must be submitted before
July 30, 2026. Applications received after the deadline or missing required information will not be processed.
By combining financial assistance with practical training, this initiative offers young agriculture graduates an opportunity to build experience while contributing to the continued growth of Punjab's farming community.
