Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security, with DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry saying Islamabad would go to any extent to defend the Kingdom against aggression. He made the remarks during an interview with Arab News on September 17.
Chaudhry said Pakistan stands with Saudi Arabia both diplomatically and physically, stressing that the country’s commitment to the Kingdom’s security is unconditional.

The military spokesperson said there should be no doubt about Pakistan’s position on the security of Saudi Arabia and the Haramain Sharifain. He said Islamabad would continue to defend the Kingdom against aggression and provide support as required.
Chaudhry also said Pakistan’s political and military leadership remains in continuous communication with Saudi leadership. According to his remarks, the relationship involves both diplomatic engagement and security cooperation.
The statement represents a clear public reaffirmation of Pakistan’s commitment at a time when attacks on Saudi territory have increased.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have maintained close defence and diplomatic ties for decades. Their security relationship has gained additional significance following the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in August 2026.
The agreement provides for collective defence, with an armed attack against one member treated as an attack against all three. It followed the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in September 2025.
