Pakistan Launches Mango Diplomacy Campaign to Promote Exports

The Government of Pakistan has launched a special mango diplomacy initiative under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to promote the country's premium mangoes internationally.
As part of the campaign, high-quality Pakistani mangoes will be presented as official gifts to heads of state, government leaders, and prominent diplomatic figures in 76 countries.
According to the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the initiative aims to showcase one of Pakistan's most renowned agricultural products while strengthening cultural and diplomatic engagement with partner countries.

The TDAP has announced that more than 34 tons of premium Pakistani mangoes will be distributed under the campaign.
The shipment consists of 6,896 boxes, each weighing 5 kilograms, which will be dispatched to diplomatic missions and designated recipients abroad.
The largest consignments are scheduled to be sent to Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and China, reflecting the importance of these countries in Pakistan's diplomatic and trade relations.
Officials say the packaging and distribution process has been organized to ensure the fruit reaches recipients while maintaining quality and freshness.

Pakistan is among the world's leading producers and exporters of mangoes, with varieties such as Sindhri, Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol, and Langra enjoying international recognition for their taste and quality.
The mango diplomacy campaign is intended to introduce Pakistan's premium fruit to influential international audiences while highlighting the country's agricultural potential. Similar initiatives have previously been used by Pakistan as part of its diplomatic outreach.
The program also supports broader efforts to increase international awareness of Pakistani agricultural products and encourage export opportunities.

According to the TDAP, the initiative is designed to promote Pakistan's traditional fruit while reinforcing diplomatic goodwill with friendly nations.
Presenting locally produced mangoes as official gifts reflects the country's emphasis on cultural engagement alongside formal diplomacy.
The campaign also highlights the economic importance of Pakistan's horticulture sector, which contributes to agricultural exports and supports thousands of growers across the country.
