PTI lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat has claimed that party founder Imran Khan is deeply unhappy with the current PTI leadership and the way the protest movement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is being handled.
According to Marwat, Khan is particularly dissatisfied with those leading the KP movement, including Sohail Afridi and Salman Akram Raja. He also claimed that Khan disagreed with the September timeline announced for the protest.

Marwat also shared details of what he claimed was a conversation between Imran Khan and Aleema Khan during their recent meeting.
According to his account, Khan questioned why the matter had been taken to the Supreme Court and allegedly said he was unaware that relief had been obtained through legal proceedings until it happened.
Marwat further claimed that Khan believed Aleema had agreed to a timeline for the protest without his approval. He said Khan had opposed her involvement in the street movement and instructed party officials to keep her away from party affairs.

The claims have added to questions surrounding the direction of PTI’s ongoing protest movement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Marwat said Imran Khan was unhappy with both the leadership of the movement and the decision to set September as its timeline.
He specifically linked Khan’s reported dissatisfaction to the way the protest was being organised and the individuals overseeing it.
Marwat also claimed that Khan had questioned Aleema’s participation despite previously instructing her not to become involved in the street movement. According to Marwat, this disagreement was one reason Aleema had remained out of public view for several days.

Marwat also made claims regarding Imran Khan’s recent medical treatment after his transfer from Adiala Jail to hospital. H
e said he had been told that Khan initially refused to visit Shifa International Hospital for two days before eventually undergoing a medical examination.
The statements have not gone unchallenged. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has rejected Marwat’s claims, disputing the account presented by the lawmaker.
