Hasan Raheem has put his latest musical work forward for consideration at the Grammy Awards, marking a new milestone in his artistic journey. His song ‘Bewajah’ has been submitted in two categories: Best Music Video and Best Global Music Performance.
The singer shared the announcement on Instagram through a post inviting Grammy consideration, bringing attention to a project that draws heavily on his cultural roots.
Released in March 2026, ‘Bewajah’ brings together contemporary production and regional influences, reflecting Raheem’s approach to creating music that feels modern while staying connected to where he comes from.

Produced by Umair, ‘Bewajah’ features lyrics written in Urdu, with a bridge in Shina, a language spoken in Gilgit-Baltistan. The combination gives the track a distinct regional identity while keeping it accessible to a wider audience.
The song’s music video further strengthens that connection. Directed by Arham Ikram, a frequent collaborator of Raheem, it was filmed in Gilgit against the backdrop of a local polo match.
Traditional clothing, horses, spectators and snow-covered mountains shape the visual narrative, placing the region’s landscape and cultural traditions at the centre of the project.

Hasan Raheem first gained widespread attention with ‘Aisay Kaisay’ in 2020 before building a growing catalogue of releases that blends pop and R&B.
His career has since included ‘Joona’, the Coke Studio hit ‘Peechay Hutt’ and his debut album ‘Nautanki’, released in 2022.
His collaborations have also expanded his reach, particularly ‘Wishes’ with Indian singer Talwiinder. Over the years, Raheem has developed a distinctive sound that connects contemporary music with his own artistic identity. A Grammy submission is not the same as a nomination or a win.
