Coke Studio Nu.WAV has unveiled its second release, ‘Rangeen’, bringing together singer Hasan Raheem, emerging artist Izzchugtai and producer Umair. Released on September 18, the track follows ‘Dil’ by Afusic, Zoha Waseem and Ali Soomro, which opened the new platform earlier this month.
The song explores attraction, imagination and youthful romance through a blend of Hasan’s vocals, Izzchugtai’s presence and Umair’s production. Hasan also wrote the lyrics and handled the vocal composition and arrangement, while Umair produced, composed, arranged, mixed and mastered the musical production.

The music video turns ‘Rangeen’ into a colourful imagined romance. Directed by Arham Ikram, it opens with Hasan on a Lahore rooftop during Basant, where he notices a girl played by model Sukaina Zaidi. From that moment, he begins imagining an entire relationship with her.
Izzchugtai adds another perspective to the story. His character recognises that Hasan’s romantic expectations do not match reality and attempts to make him see the situation differently. The fantasy eventually leads Hasan to a wedding, where the truth becomes clear: the woman he imagined as his beloved is actually marrying someone else.

‘Rangeen’ also gives Hasan Raheem another memorable dulha appearance, echoing the wedding imagery from his earlier music-video era. The playful callback quickly became a talking point among fans, particularly because of the singer’s previous MEMORIES campaign, which had also played with the idea of marriage.
Behind the camera, the project brings together a large creative team. Arham Ikram directed the video, Aamir Mughal served as Director of Photography, and Hashim Ali led production design and art direction.
