Pakistani actor Emmad Irfani is once again being compared to former Prime Minister and cricket star Imran Khan, after sharing a series of photographs from his recent trip to London.
The pictures quickly caught the attention of social media users, with many pointing out similarities between Irfani and Khan, particularly the actor’s resemblance to Khan’s 1990s-era appearance.

The resemblance has been discussed before. Irfani himself addressed the comparisons during an appearance on ARY News’ Har Lamha Purjosh in March 2026.
He explained that the conversation began after photographs from a charity shoot at Lord’s in London were posted online. The images led many people to notice similarities between his appearance and Khan’s.
Rather than taking the comparison lightly, Irfani described it as a major compliment, particularly because of Khan’s distinctive presence and charisma.

Interestingly, the idea of Irfani portraying Imran Khan is not entirely new. An earlier planned film titled Kaptaan had also considered him for the role before Abdul Mannan was ultimately selected.
Irfani began his career as a model before moving into acting and has since appeared in dramas including Jalan, Cheekh, Kabhi Main Kabhi T
For now, the latest discussion remains a fan-driven idea rather than a confirmed casting announcement.
