ARY owner Salman Iqbal is expanding the company’s digital ambitions with ARY Plus, a homegrown streaming platform designed to put Pakistani entertainment at the centre of the OTT market. The platform is being positioned as a local alternative to major international and Indian streaming services.
ARY Plus is expected to bring together Pakistani dramas, shows, films and other entertainment content under one digital platform. The move reflects how viewing habits are increasingly shifting from traditional television towards on demand streaming.

The strategy is already moving beyond an announcement. ARY Digital is set to stop uploading its dramas on YouTube from September 17, making ARY Plus the exclusive streaming destination for its drama content.
That shift gives the platform something many new streaming services struggle to build: an established library of popular Pakistani entertainment and a major television network producing fresh content every week.
Instead of relying only on television audiences, ARY is bringing its existing content ecosystem into a dedicated streaming environment.

ARY Plus arrives at a time when global OTT platforms have transformed how audiences discover entertainment. Pakistan already has a strong television and drama industry, but a major homegrown streaming platform could give that content a more focused digital identity.
The ambition also extends beyond Pakistan. ARY has indicated that the platform could reach international audiences, potentially giving Pakistani productions a wider global audience and creating another digital route for local entertainment.
