The petrol relief programme is being rolled out in stages. The Islamabad phase began during the night of September 14–15, while the nationwide rollout, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, is scheduled from the night of September 16–17.

During a review meeting, officials reported that more than 600,000 SMS messages had already been received from the Islamabad region, with 42,933 applicants successfully registered at that stage.

The Prime Minister has directed field officials, public representatives and volunteers to help citizens understand the process.
